Land and Real Estate
The Land Code prohibits foreigners from outright ownership of land except unless granted business promotion privileges, or where companies are owned by a majority of Thai nationals.
However, there are alternatives to outright ownership of land. One option is for foreigners to take out leases on the required land. Leases for immoveable property for industrial and commercial purposes can have a timespan of up to 50 years.
