MICE Locations

 The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) estimates the number of MICE visitors at 636,000, bringing in revenue of THB 52 billion in 2008, and estimates a 20-30% contraction in the sector for 2009, estimating 500,000 MICE visitors and revenues of THB 41 billion baht.  Detailed industry statistics are currently updated only to 2007 however.

 

MICE is currently a small sector in Thailand’s tourism industry comprising of about 6% in the number of tourists, and 13% in tourism revenue in 2006 and 2007, with estimated revenues of about USD 2 billion or about THB 69.5 billion in 2007.
